About the Role
As a Facility Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring that club facilities remain safe, functional, and welcoming for members. You will oversee preventative and reactive maintenance, manage health and safety compliance, monitor utility consumption, and support the overall operational excellence of the club.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on fitness equipment, HVAC systems, pools, spas, saunas, steam rooms, and building infrastructure.
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergency repairs.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards.
- Conduct facility inspections and health & safety audits.
- Manage maintenance budgets and utility consumption.
- Coordinate contractors and maintenance teams.
- Support club management in creating a safe and enjoyable member experience.
- Monitor and improve facility standards across all areas of the club.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric (NSC) qualification.
- Advanced technical qualification.
- 2–3 years of maintenance experience.
- Practical knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and plant equipment.
- Experience with health and safety procedures.
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong problem-solving and people management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of chillers, pumps, valves, water treatment systems, steam generators, electrical systems, and building management systems.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Financial and administrative knowledge.
- Ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Multi-site maintenance experience will be advantageous.
